In a few hours I will be leaving for 10 days.
I'll be going to Belgium where I'll be doing a Vipassana meditation course. Basically this means 10 days of meditating in silence. 10 days! Never done that before, but I'm really looking forward to it. I remember when I did a part 2 silence course in Bad Antogast, which was 2 or 3 days. But then I met my girlfriend, which was a great experience. Ever got to know someone without talking to each other? It's cool!
Only thing is this won't happen very likely in everyday life, just as it's unlikely to find someone during a silence course. The result is invaluable; I got a unique lifetime experience and we're still happily together. That was 1.5 years ago. Time flies!
Let's see how time will fly during Vipassana. I imagine days passing by slow at first. But once you get into the rhythm, the song is over before you know it. Speaking about songs, I'm going to start a music production course in september; specialized in hip hop, teaching me how to make beats, how to mix, how to record, how to master. Mixing will be the most important thing. When I come back I have 1 week to get my equipment ready so I can start applying the things I learn there, at home. I was there yesterday actually, the place is awesome; they have like 3 studios, with superb equipment.
And last night I had a dream. I was just doing my thing when I suddenly heard my own song coming from the radio. I was stunned. People liked it, and later on when I was hanging out I even met Immortal Technique! It was strange though - it felt like I had known him for a long time.
Yesterday I read on Vigilant Citizen about the occult symbolism of Jay-Z's latest video clips. To be honest, I never really liked Jay-Z in the first place. But when I scrolled down I saw a picture of Prodigy, the main rapper of Mobb Deep (he looks a lot older!) talking about that he understands how the world goes around, and that people like Jay-Z are too afraid to speak out the truth. That he actually cried when he found out himself how it's all a setup; a conspiracy against humanity.
Thugs cry, but only the real. This makes me respect him more than any song ever could. Good times are not coming; they are already right now, you just gotta see it.
