Truth as Authority

I just watched the first Zeitgeist movie. Before this, I had only seen the second one, and for some reason I thought that it wouldn't add much value to also see the first. I was wrong, so wrong. I would say they're both very informational and beautiful, and I really appreciate the work these people put into informing the public. Unlike what the media does. It is amazing to see how simply a small group of people managed to create such a big lie, and we just obey.

It's like the brainwashed kids in Africa, walking around with guns killing people. They're not bad kids, they just don't know any better, and lies have been repeated again and again until they started to believe them. We are no different, exactly the same is going on here. Maybe with less bloodshed, but does that matter? Blood is shed on the other side of the world, those are our people just as well. Our people, dying on both sides.

Who ever wanted to go to war? Nobody but bankers. Because it increases the debt that governments create towards their central banks by taking more loans. Every provocation that preoccured the first world war, second world war, and vietnam war was in fact staged into getting support from the people. In fact, certain U.S. corporations owned by families that also owned the banking cartel, were supplying good to support the NAZI war effort. That's not a typo! I really meant NAZI war effort!

I could go on and on to explain how America turned from a country that fought for its independence towards the British Central bank, to become a slave of the U.S. Central Bank. And how, once this institute was established, economical crises were staged in order to collapse other banks, which then could be bought for virtually nothing in order to expand the cartel. Capitalism? No, it's robbery. And in the end, it's the people who pay the price for a nation's debt. That means YOU. So wether or not you support this idea, it's still slavery. You're still enslaved, by putting you in debt, because every dollar or euro that you own, has its inherent price, an inherent debt.

Like I was going to say, I could go on about this, but better just see the movie. Or not, suit yourself. I honestly don't care, because people who feel something is wrong, will do it on their own anyway. So the game is on, with the world a stage. I sincerely believe there is nothing to fear, for the world, as some picture it to be, will never become reality. So even if you don't care about all this crap, then please, by all means, do not. Just sit back, relax, drink your juice, turn off your tv, and don't pay your taxes.

It is impossible to hide your face, eventually truth will shine through the lies.
To end it with a quote:

"They must find it difficult...
Those who have taken authority as truth,
rather than truth as the authority."

Hidden Beauty

I did it again, broke another record! Yesterday Eva came back (local AOL teacher) from India, after not having slept for about 40 hours. She came earlier than I expected, because I hadn't cleaned the place up yet. But I knew she was too tired to complain about the place being dirty (that is, dirty according to her standards), so I could clean up a bit before hell broke lose.

It sounds worse than it actually was. This morning she was very friendly and showed me what I should clean, and so I did. Women in AOl are always very tidy, I don't know how come. But really, live together with them for a while, and your perception of dirt is broadened; when we showed me the dirty spots, they all looked new to me! I just never noticed. Personally, I like cleaning when a place is noticably dirty. It's just no fun to clean and not see a difference, feels like you're wasting your time.

Opposite values are complementary; that's why I like to shower when I'm really dirty. Showering every morning is ok, but it's nicer to shower when you just came from the forest or something where you were rolling in the dirt and been running around, so your skin is covered in a mixture of sweat and sand - lovely! Then when you take a shower you see all the water coloring brown as it leaves your body, and then you're clean! Good feeling.

Yesterday I read another chapter of David Icke's 'Infinite Love', it's really amazing how 2 hours of reading taught me more about the human organism than all those years of biology in high school ever did; not even close, not even comparable. When I was in school, I always had a feeling I was wasting my time. That's why I never was a good student, skipped many hours of classes, and had bad marks. Like, just good enough to barely pass to the next grade. Now, after all these years, I realize that indeed I was wasting my time. It's just that I'm very grateful that I met some of my best friends in that place, but school itself? Nah.

Also, I highly doubt I would ever be able to go back to university, having this knowledge. It would just feel like wasting another 3 years of my time, just so I can show off some meaningless piece of paper saying "look I'm smart". I couldn't care less, you can call me stupid but it won't change anything. Just another opinion.

When I was younger I always had the feeling that I was right, even though everyone else was saying otherwise. It was this thought of: You may all say this, but why couldn't you all be wrong? This is definitely not far from the truth. Say, where do you get your opinions from? It's not like everyone made up their own opinion, bollocks. Most people - and with that I really mean most as in, you too - have the opinions of others. Where do we get our information from? Media. Who controls the media? I say no more. Your opinions may differ slightly, but in the end they're all, I would say 'working as intended'; they've been programmed into your mind.

So to say that a majority of people saying the same thing adds anything to credibility is actually total bullshit. I would say it's the other way around: When everyone says this, then that's probably not true. To quote Oscar Wilde: "When people agree with me, I always get the feeling I must be wrong". When I finish with Icke, I'm going to read some of his stuff.

Sometimes I think back: How was I 1, 3, 5, 8 years ago? I come to the conclusion that I was depressed most of the time in high school, I just didn't want to accept misery in my life. There was no room for crying, although eventually it would always catch up on me. How could a joyful little guy like me be depressed? It's because I couldn't accept reality as I was perceiving it; that shitty wold could not be it, how was I gonna live a happy life in that world? I was lost, didn't feel at home in this world, but also didn't know where else to go; it was all around me!

Now, I realize that I've been really fortunate, although it was bound to happen. In a series of events that barely took 1.5 years up to this point, my whole perception, my whole life changed. I'm happy now. It's amazing how much can happen in such a short time, simply mind blowing! I'm 22 now, it took me over 20 years to find truth. I've been brainwashed my whole life; it's amazing that I was even able to accept new ideas after all the indoctrination that is passed down by DNA, which is activated by RNA.

There's nothing romantic about human nature; we really are just biological computers who receive and transmit unimaginable amounts of information every second. All our emotions really are nothing more than chemical reactions. So that's it? No, not in the slightest. The only thing I'm pointing out, is that our bodies, feelings, emotions, are all just software programs, and they cannot define who you are. You're infinite consciousness, whether aware of it or not. The whole world you perceive is a hologram inside your head. Everything is just energy vibrating on a specific frequency, our 5 senses just decode these waves into holograms.

Nice huh? I mean, ignorance is definitely not bliss. Above all, I would want to know the truth. So does this mean the world has become a darker place for me? Not at all! It's very good to know that this horrible place is in fact not real, and that the only truth is happiness, bliss, and joy. Also, the more I root myself in truth, the easier it will become to navigate through this world. It's like Neo in the matrix; when he realizes who he is, he's able to manipulate the matrix through consciousness.

If you made it this far into reading, then kudos to you; I think most people would've stopped a long time ago. I wish you'll find happiness, it's closer than you think!

You're beautiful.

Sweet Knowledge

Dresden, definitely a nice city. Old, artistic, authentic, hospitable, innovative. Oh and among all the posh words it's also the place where you can find one of the best doner places in Germany! Not that that matters a lot to me, since I eat mostly raw food, but still. However, yesterday after a night of going out I couldn't resist to have a late night snack in the form of a delicious durum fatma aka vegetarian wrap with potatoes, cheese, and falafel: Yummy!

Anyway, Dresden is also a pain in the ass. Opposite values are complementary, so I have to complain a bit too. Yea so a pain in the ass, why? Well, first off it's cold! But that's not really what I meant. No, what I mean is that I'm having a hard time organizing Yes+ here. I'm getting very little support from the volunteers, I can't get the Yes+ group motivated into coming together, and not many people show up for the mini-yoga workshops.

Let's analyze, what's the deal? In the end it's all my fault anyway, cause I'm responsible, but I want to know what I can do to make it happen. There must be some people out there in this city that are waiting for something amazing like Yes+ to cross their paths, no doubt about it. So where are those people? How to find them? I can say for one that it'll be easier to find them with my eyes closed. In the end, it's all state of mind, so I'm bound to meet these people sooner or later.

But in this world we work with dates and times, schedules and appointments. The course is on the 28th, which is next thursday, and then there must be some people ready to rock, else it cannot happen. I don't care if they all sign up on the last day, or even the last minute, as long as they do. The problem is that most people are just very preoccupied with themselves; they're so busy thinking about their own stuff, that they ironically completely lose track of themselves.

How can you lose track of yourself when you're thinking about yourself? Simple, because the thought of themself is not who they are, it's just an illusion. I met this guy the other day who seemed like a perfect canditate for Yes+; open minded, a bit insecure, trying to find himself amongst all the chaos in his life. Don't get me wrong; Yes+ is not just designed for depressed people, it's for people who know there is more to life than society makes us believe, but at the same time want to learn some practical things about life. Basically, it's for everyone, it's just that it takes some time to realize.

So I told this guy about meditation and my free workshops, and he said he would think about it. It's this stupid "maybe-attitude" that doesn't get you anywhere, but let's not side track. He then told me (since he's christian) that according to his religion, meditation can be dangerous because it gets you into contact with demons, and there are no such thing as angels. No such thing as angels? I'm in a relationship with one! But other than that, I was just really astonished by the brainwashing that takes place in this church in particular. I mean who told you that? And you buy it?

I replied that religion destroys spirituality, and that religion is an unimportant aspect of life because it's just a shell. I also said that (quoting Immortal Technique) hell is not a place you go when you're not a christian, but the failure of your life's greatest ambition (this guy spits good shit, definitely worth checking out if you can handle an angry pita boy). That seemed to resonate, who knows, maybe I'll see him coming. Would be really cool! I sincerely wish everyone this experience, people need to understand I'm not here out of self interest. Freezing my ass off flyering, and not getting paid, why would I do that? And that is not a question for me cuz I know why I do that.

The paradox of Yes+ is that the people who have done it are most likely to say yes again. It's this 'yes-mind' that is so important. I'm getting so tired of hearing maybe. Seriously I'm gonna charge double on maybe's in my course. 1 Euro for each maybe, should get us a nice afternoon eating cakes in the café around the corner. Indeed, knowledge IS sweet!

The New Scientific Method

I'm a teacher, a child of the universe, a little creation amongst all the others. We are all the same, all one. What I do, is to let others realize what they are, which goes far deeper than who they think to be, or would like to be. Sharing this is the most beautiful gift you could give to anyone. It's the awakening, the rebirth of that which is omnipresent. How can you even live your life happily if that what makes you so wonderful is something you're completely unaware of?

It's quite ironic how we perceive the impossible rather than the possible. It shows how far we strayed from our nature. In Art of Living, we always talk about the tendencies of the mind, but what are those tendencies? How can they be natural? This is a nature versus nurture discussion, the simple answer is that both are present by definition. Nature is always present, because it's nature; you cannot escape or deny what you are. Nurture is present, because it encompasses that which has been nurtured.

Both are there, so it's a question of perception. When perception changes, everything around you changes, except for your nature. What does this mean? That everything is fake, and only our nature is real. Everything you have been taught, everything you've seen, smelled, tasted, or heard. It's all fake, because it's nothing more than electrical signals interpreted by your brain. How can you define reality in something that's changing all the time?

This is why conventional science will never be able to provide a satisfying answers, because perception keeps changing. Sometimes it may seem that we have solid answers, but in reality it just means we're stuck in our little world; our perception is stuck at one point, so what we see is the same, hence what we define is the same. Conventional science is what is taught at university. Trust me, I would love to be a scientist, but I don't want to be caged in an crude paradigm.

I have actually thought about this, let's become a scientist. Let's educate myself and see what I can learn about this world. Education is really something which depends on your own responsibility. You can't simply send your kids to school and label them as 'educated'. Hell, kids graduate more ignorant than when they came in! I would like to educate myself, just for the sake of my kids. So I can take responsibility to really educate them.

So this is what I do, I have already begun. I'm a teacher for the sake of others. Some people call themselves teacher just because they like to be smartasses. This is not teaching; it's self deception, and they can't teach anything but lies. Teaching is about sharing out of love. Love for the knowledge, and love for the students. At the same time, a teacher will be the last person to think he knows everything, on the contrary: A teacher can only see as far as he can accept that he knows nothing.

This is the key of science. Accepting that you know nothing, so that you can start observing. Real science is not about theories, it's about observation. Observe that which changes until you see that which doesn't change. That is nature, that is truth.

Start by closing your eyes, and observe.

Glorified Suicide

I just watched "Der Untergang". Quite an impressive movie, I must say I've never seen a film with so many suicides. The pride that some people take in ending their lives, as some code of honour. The samurai also had a similar thing going on, called Bushido, in which they had to commit suicide when they had brought shame to themselves, and with that, to their family name.

It's an interesting subject, suicide. I personally don't see this as an act of honour. Although I would make a distinction between suicide, and sacrifice. Of course the usefulness of a particular sacrifice is debatable, the act itself still comes from a totally different space than the one of suicide. Suicide has more to do with not wanting to live in a specific situation, whereas sacrifice is about wanting to change a situation, even if it means your own death. I would almost say the former is selfish, the latter is not, but it's not so simple the way I see it.

Thing is, when you kill yourself, you take away your future, your destiny. You can argue that killing yourself might have been your destiny, but I see destiny as a force that moves things; there is no movement in ending your own life. Also, more importantly, consider this: When you kill yourself, you have no more chance of clearing up any of your bad karma in this life. What does that mean? That you leave yourself a big bill of bad karma for the next life.

The beauty of getting second chances is, that people can really redeem themselves for whatever things they did in the past. This is why death penalties are plain wrong, and add nothing to the development of humanity. On the contrary; it only slows it down. Even worse is that people actually watch this happen, like it's a theatre! Yea let's watch the bad guy get killed, all our sadness is gone now! Our beloved is dead, but so is the murderer! Wow, talk about ignorance.

People should stop thinking that we have the right to avenge ourselves. Vengeance is a choice, but not a right. You can do whatever you want, but if you think vengeance will set you free, you are direly mistaken, and you will pay the same price as the one who you wish to inflict upon. Why? Because we are not God, we don't have any 'right' to do this or that. Trust me, people who do bad things will be taken care of; they will have to face themselves one day and they will have to set it right, or suffer endlessly. We don't need to make bad people suffer; they'll suffer enough already when they realize what they've done. Besides, we shouldn't take away their chance to set things right again.

All rights are made up, as the constitution is made up. There are no rights, there's only the illusion of having rights. Sounds bad? I think it's great! Makes me feel free. I don't need any smartass telling what I can or cannot do just because he wrote it on a piece of paper. So I prefer anarchy then? Well, there's gotta be anarchy before the tyranny can end. Destruction creates space for new creation; it is the way of things.

The night is darkest before the dawn.

Raw Food with Raw Truth

I'm gonna rock this town I tell ya. Next saturday we'll have a follow up with the people from the last yes+ course, in which we'll have a lot of fun, and I'll inspire them to get some people for the next course. After a lot of fuss, I finally managed to get myself a proper flyer design that's also got the right sizes; it was such a pain to get it right, I just couldn't do it. So today I went to a copy shop and asked if they could do it for me. The result is a cool, trendy, vibrant flyer for Steven's awesome mini-yoga workshops! It's even free, that includes the awesomeness.

I don't have too much time now, because soon there will be people coming and I still have to clean the house a bit. I just wanted to say that I've been on raw food for a few days now, or at least mostly raw food (couldn't say no to a piece of home made Dresdener cake!) and it's been really good so far. It amazes me that as much as I can eat on a day, I can also do the opposite of having 2 meals; one smoothie, one salad. It's great because I don't feel hungry, yet I feel light.

Anyway, I still need to find myself a new supermarket because it's a piece of crap where I am at. I went to this small store today, thinking they would have some organic veggies and fruits, but no! I already knew it when I saw it a was a chinese guy, they only think about profits! The woman at the counter said "no we only have normal foods" yea right! Normal as in: soaked in chemicals. But it's still better than eating non organic non raw food, so for next time I'll be on the lookout for a new place to go to.

Hey, don't drool at that flyer, listen to this: David Icke's book called 'Love is the only truth - everything else is an illusion' is really interesting! I love this guy, he actually gives me some deep information to think about. No offence to Sri Sri, but wisdom is not enough for my brain amidst all the bullshit around us. I can't help but wonder why he never talks about these things, because he knows, for sure. Anyway, he'll probably have his reasons, but in the mean time, I would like to know the truth. Or at least, read stuff that will bring me closer to finding the truth. What truth? That almost everything we dare call truth are illusions! Seeing is not believing, it's the other way around. I knew this, but it goes to a far bigger extent than you can imagine. It is the art of becoming the observer.

Anyway, this guy can explain these things much better than me, so if you're even slightly interested I really do recommend to buy this quality piece of literature. Fuck the fiction, you don't need a book for that; it's all around you!

Cold Karma

Today I'm leaving for Dresden. No Hamburg for me this time, but Dresden is cool. Besides, I'll be there alone, so it's a good opportunity for me to grow by having to take all responsibility to rock that town! I will have to hitch my way there, I couldn't find any ride closer than Karhsruhe so it will be about 500 kilometers. The worst thing is that I managed to lose both my gloves and my hat, so I'll be freezing my ass off. I just bought those gloves brand new! I don't understand how I lost them, I left them in one of our cars the other day, and when I came to look for it they were gone. I must have some cold karma on myself, so now I gotta buy new ones.

But I'll survive! A little bit of cold never killed anybody. Well, that's not true, but I know it's not gonna kill me. Anyway, I also have some good news; I managed to record 2 new songs here in Bad Antogast! I borrowed the studio and recorded "With You" a few days ago, and today I did "Eyes Wide Shut". Jacob, the studio guy, taught me some new tricks about mixing so I'll be playing on the computer to get that phat sound.

What else? Not much really, this is gonna be a short one. No knowledge today, I need to leave soon, and I still need to give my dirty ass a shower. And it would be nice if I could find something for my hands and head before I leave, but anyway, I will be in Dresden at 20:00, that's my goal. It's important to have a goal, I said it before but I can't stress it enough. So 8 'o clock Dresden; ready, set, go!

The Long and Winding Road

1st of januari, 2010

Life can be strange. I met Guruji today, and I explained to him why I couldn’t go to India, and that I wanted to teach Yes+. He then asked me if I wanted to do it full time, I said no. Then he said “ok, then you go home, do some work, and then come to India”. I first interpret it as doing some work for Art of Living, but he actually meant ‘real work’ so to say, according to Katya. She said that it would give me time to make up my mind about what I want, “but I know what I want!” she then said that I denied his offer to work full time. Yes, so what, am I going to end up a full time teacher?

I don’t know what to think of it, but I’ll just think as far as I can see, and leave the rest to God. Maybe I’ll end up a full time teacher someday, but I cannot see this day coming yet, you never know I suppose. Anyway, the cool thing is that he actually confirmed the plan that I had made for myself; living in Amsterdam with Iva, doing some work, and organizing Yes+ to teach together with Ajay and Juliette.

I have a very good feeling about this new year; who knows what’s in store! It’s like a gift wrapped present. Fred, the camera expert, told me I could borrow the studio upstairs one of these days to do some recording, so I’m really happy with that. At least I can make some good recordings then, and make a track out of it. Let’s see, cause I think my audio card may be insufficient. The technical problems that I’ve been experiencing during recordings with the mic that I brought from home, are definitely audio card related, but there’s always a way!

And Iva, my little angel, after all the stuff I wrote down for the song, I really have nothing to add. I’m hollow and empty, just feeling good, great, fantastic! I was going to say that YWC is one of the best things I’ve ever done, but I think everything I did was perfect in its own way. Society teaches us that we have to act like this or that in order to be successful, and this narrow view gets imprinted so heavily that we tend to completely lose track of our own development.

In a perspective of society, YWC is definitely a good thing on my CV, but would I ever have gotten to this point without the steps that I took in the past? And really, I don’t care about those things anymore, these things only matter if you think they matter. People are still spiritual creatures, whether they want to believe it or not; in the end everyone will realize this.

Anyway, looking back on the past few years I have no regrets. I see so many people coming to the ashram here, bringing with them so much luggage from the past! It always amazes me how much shit people are carrying with them through time. They keep it somewhere, and even in the happiest moments it will eventually drag them down again because of it. The ashram is a place of healing, but wouldn’t it be nice to have the knowledge with you in your daily life, and not get shaken by the things happening to you?

People ask all these questions about love, ask him what they should or should not do. Just live your life! Don’t think too much about it, because especially if you’re with him, you’ll see that the pieces will fall in place soon enough. Now I don’t say to not make plans about the future, but for God’s sake please don’t get stuck in all this thinking. I can tell because I was very much living in my head before, and as much as I can appreciate my intellect; it doesn’t allow me to understand life itself, because life is so much bigger than intellect. Mahatma Gandhi said that problems cannot be solved in the same consciousness that created them, and that’s exactly it.

But huh, this is getting too long now. After the weekend I’ll be leaving Bad Antogast again, to a destination yet unknown. Like a gift wrapped present; just be grateful!

Convenient Inconvenience

31st december 2009

How wrong I was about India! I still haven’t seen the place, so I guess I’ll have to wait til next time. Why so? Well, I didn’t know that you couldn’t get a visa on arrival, plus the fact that I couldn’t rebook my ticket, because it was a group ticket. All these things in mind, it resulted in the only possibility to India being 5 days later for 1000 euro. So that was a no go.

But I was lucky on an unlucky day; as soon as I realized I wasn’t going to have a warm winter, I went on calling people to see if I could get to Bad Antogast somehow someway. A guy who took my laptop for safe keeping went on the internet to hook me up with a ride going to Offenburg, and 10 minutes later he gave me a call to confirm. Very nice and all, but imagine my excitement when it actually turned out to be an Art of Living teacher that I had met in Berlin! What are the chances?

Nothing happens without a reason, and this little event was definitely no coincidence whatsoever. My first plan was to see if I could do a part 3 course, but this turned out to be too expensive around this time of year. So then I decided to just stay for seva, which was not a bad thing at all.

Bad Antogast is a busy place around christmas and new year’s eve. I could barely move! It was full of people and I was full time working in the kitchen, to make food for hundreds. It was a tough, but at the same time fun job; many different dishes, and it’s just cool to cook en masse, with the huge pans and stuff. A lot of folks from YWC were there, because Guruji wanted YWC to do seva in this week. It’s been a great experience so far.

Tonight it was new year’s eve, and we celebrated with a very nice dinner, cake, and even some fireworks! A great atmosphere, but then again that’s not a change from the usual around here. With so many people from so many different countries it’s really evident that you belong to everyone. Yet at the same time I still miss Iva; how nice it would’ve been to be with her tonight! We can’t have it all, so better to just appreciate what you get.

I’ve also been working on a new song. I got the idea some time ago, but it was not so easy to work it out musically; I think I made like 4 different melodies before I actually got it right. But the result is there, I’m really happy with the new beat, and the lyrics are strong and razor sharp if I say so myself. I’m really starting to get good at this, but I’ll not rest until I can do it all. The dreams are big, so something has to be done, but my ambition fuels me like a jet engine that gives wings to a plane.

Anyway, enough with the poetry; it’s late and I’m tired. Good night everyone, I wish you all a forthcoming 2010, with lots of smiles and joy. Think of what you want to achieve, write it down, and make it happen. For me it’s finishing my first album, living with Iva together in Amsterdam, and organizing a big Yes+ course.

A little bit of everything, those are the best meals.
