The New Scientific Method

I'm a teacher, a child of the universe, a little creation amongst all the others. We are all the same, all one. What I do, is to let others realize what they are, which goes far deeper than who they think to be, or would like to be. Sharing this is the most beautiful gift you could give to anyone. It's the awakening, the rebirth of that which is omnipresent. How can you even live your life happily if that what makes you so wonderful is something you're completely unaware of?

It's quite ironic how we perceive the impossible rather than the possible. It shows how far we strayed from our nature. In Art of Living, we always talk about the tendencies of the mind, but what are those tendencies? How can they be natural? This is a nature versus nurture discussion, the simple answer is that both are present by definition. Nature is always present, because it's nature; you cannot escape or deny what you are. Nurture is present, because it encompasses that which has been nurtured.

Both are there, so it's a question of perception. When perception changes, everything around you changes, except for your nature. What does this mean? That everything is fake, and only our nature is real. Everything you have been taught, everything you've seen, smelled, tasted, or heard. It's all fake, because it's nothing more than electrical signals interpreted by your brain. How can you define reality in something that's changing all the time?

This is why conventional science will never be able to provide a satisfying answers, because perception keeps changing. Sometimes it may seem that we have solid answers, but in reality it just means we're stuck in our little world; our perception is stuck at one point, so what we see is the same, hence what we define is the same. Conventional science is what is taught at university. Trust me, I would love to be a scientist, but I don't want to be caged in an crude paradigm.

I have actually thought about this, let's become a scientist. Let's educate myself and see what I can learn about this world. Education is really something which depends on your own responsibility. You can't simply send your kids to school and label them as 'educated'. Hell, kids graduate more ignorant than when they came in! I would like to educate myself, just for the sake of my kids. So I can take responsibility to really educate them.

So this is what I do, I have already begun. I'm a teacher for the sake of others. Some people call themselves teacher just because they like to be smartasses. This is not teaching; it's self deception, and they can't teach anything but lies. Teaching is about sharing out of love. Love for the knowledge, and love for the students. At the same time, a teacher will be the last person to think he knows everything, on the contrary: A teacher can only see as far as he can accept that he knows nothing.

This is the key of science. Accepting that you know nothing, so that you can start observing. Real science is not about theories, it's about observation. Observe that which changes until you see that which doesn't change. That is nature, that is truth.

Start by closing your eyes, and observe.
